Last night was a nightmare for me, being chased and marked by my mate Alpha Knox.
I expected him to reject me, look at me with disdain, and kick me out for being his mate. But he acknowledged our mating bond.
Whether his acknowledgment was a good or bad thing, I couldn't tell.
And how he looked at me last night, I felt strangely aroused and wondered if he felt the same.
