“You child…” Marielle trembled with anger. “Three years apart, how did you become so unreasonable?”
I sneered. “You had it easy outside; three years is short for you. But I was in prison, beaten, insulted, suffering every single day. That should have been Evangeline’s fate. You deleted the surveillance, threw me in jail, stained my life forever. You call that sincerity? Then I beg you—don’t do anything good for me. I can’t bear it.”
Her face went pale in an instant. “You… you’re unreasonable.”
“Yes. I am unreasonable.” I stared at her. “And don’t ever bother me again.”
