Aria’s POV
I had a fever and was sent to the hospital again.
Clara stayed with me the whole time, until I woke up.
She told me that in order to keep the Locke family from finding out, I wasn’t staying at the Bayou Pointe General Hospital I usually went to, but at Saint Madeleine Private Medical Center instead.
It was Mr. Rhett and Grandma Callahan who brought me here.
My heart was filled with both gratitude and guilt—these people weren’t even my family, yet they were worrying about me so much. Seeing how exhausted Clara looked, I told her to go home and get some rest. I promised her I’d be fine on my own in the hospital and would call a nurse if anything happened. Only then did she leave.
After taking my medicine, I went to the restroom.
