I leaned my head against the soda machine. My hands shook as I tentatively touched the glass enclosure. Feelings of vulnerability and exposure swirled around me. What had I done? Only my husband knew of those events. Only my love knew how much Mom hurt me over the years. Now my sisters knew. The opening of all those old wounds left me raw.
