The day before the funeral, my husband arrived with our two youngest in two. They arrived several hours after it grew dark. I had changed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and had readied the beds for them all. Where else would we have stayed but at Mom's? I had also stopped at the store by way of Erick and gathered some food for them to eat as well as more coffee. I knew over the next few days others would be at the house to sort things out.
