Gavin took a while to process Veronica’s condition. Veronica rested her hand on her waist, waiting for Gavin’s answer. It fascinates Veronica how ten thousand dollars versus a review would make it hard for someone to choose. She was just clearly messing up with him earlier. But this hesitation in Gavin surely means that a review is important to him too.
Veronica smiled at him, “This guy is getting more interesting.” She thought as she observes Gavin who was clearly weighing his options.
“I’m sorry, Madame. I would have to think about it. I mean my bosses will decide on it.” Gavin finally had an answer, which was really not an answer. It was more of an excuse so he could go out and ask a friend about his dilemma.
“Give me your phone, then. I’ll save my number. Call me when you can give me your answer.” Veronica extended her hand to Gavin, waiting for his phone.
Gavin pulled out his phone from his pocket and handed it to Veronica.
“Oh, lovely girl." Veronica said when she saw Gavin’s wallpaper. She looked at the photo carefully and smiled."This is Sofia White," she added.
Gavin’s eyes widened when he heard Veronica say Aya’s name. Veronica went on with it and typed in her phone number on Gavin’s phone.
“Do you know her?” He cleared his throat before he asked Veronica. His eyes turned hopeful when he talked about Aya. Veronica picked up on that clue and decided to use it to her advantage.
“I’ll tell you about her, after you accept my proposal.” Veronica replied to Gavin. She led Gavin to the door and watch him walk towards his motorbike. "My offer would not stand long, so please decided on it as soon as possible."
Gavin nodded and left Veronica’s mansion with more questions in his head. “Getting a review should not be this complicated.” Gavin thought as he shook his head when he mounted on his motorbike. He could not decipher Veronica’s plan. Why is she doing this to him? Gavin could just not find a logical reason for all of this.
He arrived at the store, still with a puzzled look on his face. “Ali, we have a situation.” He declared as he sat in the chair and placed his helmet on the table.
Ali hurriedly went to Gavin. He looked troubled, and she has never seen him like this since he arrived here. “What happened? You don’t look dear.” Ali checked on Gavin to see if he was injured in any way. She also called Bill so they can both attend to the ‘situation’ Gavin is in.
“Hmm, the mystery woman. Her name is Veronica Wolfe. She was giving me ten thousand dollars. Of course I will not accept it. I said, it was too much for a tip, but we can use a review from her.” Gavin talked instantaneously that it sounded like ranting instead of explaining the situation with Ali. “She said her review is worth more than ten thousand dollars. So I need to stay with her for thirty days to cook for her until she finishes the review.”
Ali’s mouth fell open on the floor. She could not stop Gavin when he was speaking, but she cannot talk either.
“Ali? Are you okay?” Gavin asked the dumbfounded Ali. Bill rubbed Ali's back when he understood his wife's reaction.
She raised her hand to her mouth to cover it. Ali took a deep breath before she spoke. “Did you just say Veronica Wolfe?”
Gavin nodded. “Yes, she said her name is Veronica Wolfe.”
“Oh my God! Have you been living under the rock? You are talking about ‘The Veronica Wolfe!’” Ali exclaimed.
“Wait, should I know her?” Gavin asked Ali who looked like she was star struck without even seeing the star.
“Have you heard of Lone Wolfe Productions? The brain behind that is her Veronica Wolfe. The self-made billionaire Veronica Wolfe! She is not an heiress of some rich father; she made herself super freaking ultra rich!” Ali excitedly explained it to Gavin.
“Ah really? Interesting, but no sorry I have not heard of that company.” Gavin responded
“Did you see her face? She never showed her face to the public. She hired CEOs for her companies.” Ali asked.
“Yes, she was not wearing a mask or anything.” Gavin chuckled.
“What does she look like?” Ali’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
“Hmm, pretty; I guess. You know, long wavy hair that fits her beautiful face.” He filled in Ali’s curiosity.
“Wait here. I am getting your things. You better get back in there and get my review!” Ali declared her choice to Gavin.
“What? I mean ten thousand dollars can fix a lot of things in here, added capital for you and Bill.” Gavin tried to make sense to Ali.
Ali hushed Gavin. “A review from her could mean, expansion for us. She is right and her review is worth more than the cash she was offering.” Ali explained to Gavin.
Gavin glanced in Bill’s direction, looking at him like he was asking for help. He coughed a little when he realized Gavin was asking for a little of help. “Well, we can’t just let Gavin live there with her. What if something happens between them?” Bill’s reasoning it not the type Gavin wanted.
“Hahaha. Okay, if that happens, then out Gavin here will become a billionaire. That is a win-win situation.” Ali did not hide her excitement at getting Gavin involved romantically with Veronica.

Gavin went to his room, contemplating on his decision. If Aya would find out about it, she would literally kill him. Thinking about Aya made him smile. She never fails to put a smile on his face, even in desperate situations like this.
“bzzt. bzzt” His phone vibrated with a message notification. He hurriedly opened it, as Aya is the only one who knows his number.
“Hey, sis. How’s your day?” Aya checked out on him as Ava. His heart fluttered reading her message. It is as if he read the word is with baby.
“Hey, girl! I’m a little caught up today. How about you?” his smile was plastered on his face sending his reply.
“I just want to thank you. I am feeling quite better now.” She replied.
Gavin felt like a light of hope shone on him when he read Aya’s reply. He did not expect that he could still be of help for Aya in this current setup… but Aya’s response was something he did not anticipate this early in their relationship.
“I’m thinking of going to Victoria. Let’s meet!”
