The two walked out of the café feeling victorious after seeing Jen and Gerard get so mad at them. Aya suddenly felt sorry for Gavin, knowing he was already starving when they arrived at the cafe. It is almost four in the afternoon and the day is still young; she does not want to head home yet. “I’m sorry baby, we cut our date short. I did not expect those losers to be there to ruin our date.” Aya apologized to Gavin who carried their food with his left hand and holding her hand with the other. “Not a problem, babe. You were savage out there. I like it that my woman is strong and independent." Gavin said proudly. "By the way, you will sleepover tonight in my place right?” Gavin wanted to confirm it to Aya.  She felt a little disappointed that Gavin was actually hinting he wants to head home already. But she chose not to show it to Gavin. In a way, she is learning how to handle her slight disappointments in her relationship with Gavin. She was too young when she had her last serious relationship. This is the first time she actually has to put up her own emotions and set aside her stubbornness for another person.  “Yes babe, but I have to go home first to get my stuff.” Aya confirmed it to him, thinking if she will bring her sexiest g-string tonight, she might get lucky to show it off for tonight. That thought slightly clouded her disappointment at their shortened date.  Gavin nodded at Aya. But surprisingly, they are going in a different direction; not to his home and definitely not to her home. She cleared her throat before she asked Gavin. “Where are we headed, babe?” “To the park. I think it’s still too early to end this first date of ours. What do you think?” He smirked at Aya. It caught her off-guard. In all honesty, she thought Gavin was a clear cut man who does not like inconveniences like this. But instead of heading home to get a quick fix for their food, he opted to bring her to a romantic spot to continue on with their date. “Maybe, my boyfriend is really the sweet, hopeless romantic type.” She thought to herself. Aya can’t contain her smile; Gavin saw it. “You look so happy. It seems like I am doing the right thing.” He said confidently. They chose a bench under a tree. It looked so pretty with the golden leaves and flowers. Gavin thought it would be great to take pictures of Aya in this place. He wants to fill his phone's gallery with her pictures. Aya unpacked their food, and they enjoyed eating while chatting. It was a breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively. “Baby, how old are you again?” Aya asked Gavin. He chuckled at her question, they’ve been going out but they don’t know each other’s birthday. “How old do you think I am?” He asked her back. “Old enough to be my boyfriend?” She said flirtatiously. “So when is your birthday?” Aya asked him again. Gavin answered, “it passed already, tenth of May.” “Oh, you are such a cheater, you did not even tell me about it.” Aya could not get over it that they did not celebrate it together. “Why didn’t you tell me?” She pouted her lips. “I actually forgot about it, too. I’m not used to celebrating my birthday so… It does not really matter.” Gavin said in a serious tone.  "It matters to me, baby. You got me, from now on we will celebrate every important occasion together. Okay?" Aya's words made Gavin feel important. A first in his lifetime that someone actually want to spend time and celebrate with him. “Okay, baby. I promise. How about you, when is your birthday?” He asked her back. “Around three months from now; fourth of November,” Aya replied to Gavin. He was taking notes on his phone. “What are you typing there?” She asked him. “I’m taking down, important dates in history.” He winked at Aya. They both laughed at how they were getting better with their pickup lines. It was getting dark when they decided to call it a day. Their first stop was Aya’s home. She got a few personal items and snacks and beers. This is the first time she would sleep over Gavin’s place. It feels surreal for her to finally have this type of relationship with anyone. She thought that it would remain a myth about how a woman like her would learn to love someone like how she loves Gavin. They walked hand in hand until they reached Gavin’s home. Aya was nervous she did not know what to expect from this setup. She was sure though that every time they were alone together; it would be a steamy night. Gavin opened the door for her. He then went to straight to the fridge to chill the beer they brought from Aya's store. She placed her personal stuff in Gavin’s closet. It was mainly just a few stuff, a few pieces of clothes and her toiletries.  “Babe, do you mind if I head on to shower first? I feel so sticky already.” Gavin asked Aya. “Shower? Yes, no, I mean I don’t mind at all. Sure. I’ll go after you.” She replied, stuttering not sure what to answer. Gavin chuckled sensing she was nervous. He went inside the bathroom for a shower, bringing just his towel. “Shocks, after shower… Is this the night?” Aya anxiously asks herself. “Will he come out of the shower with just a towel on his hips?” She almost shrieked in excitement. A few minutes later, Gavin opened the bathroom door. Aya’s neck could extend a mile, checking him out. But no; he was just wearing a pair of gray boxer shorts and a plain white shirt. His wet hair looked sexy enough for Aya, though. “Your turn, babe.” Gavin said to Aya. She went inside the bathroom with her hopes for a steamy night somewhat gone. Aya went on with her normal bath routines, which takes quite long time. But she imagined Gavin with her in the shower; maybe that instance would take even longer. She stepped out of the bathroom, but the entire house was dark. There is a trail of little LED candles on the floor. She followed it and it brought her to the living room where the enormous sofa was turned into a bed. There is a wooden tray in the middle; it has a two bottles of cold beer and a bowl of chips. Aya looked around for Gavin, but he was not there. She stepped back and bumped into something; big, hot and hard. Aya turned around. She knew it was Gavin. Aya faced him and he extended his hand with a stem of rose.  “For you, baby.” He said in his low voice.   Aya accepted the rose and embraced Gavin. “This is so much better than what I expected.” She mumbled. Gavin kissed her forehead and embraced her back. “Did you like my surprise?” He asked her. Aya kissed Gavin’s lips and smiled at him. “Are you kidding me? I love it!” She declared to her boyfriend. "Thanks for this sweet surprise, baby." she added. "I'm just glad you liked it, baby." Gavin replied and led her to the sofa bed, and he turned on the television. They both sat comfortably on the sofa and got their own beer bottles. “Netflix and chill?” Aya asked Gavin, she blushed knowing what the underlying meaning for this. “Will this be a steamy night after all?” She had to fan herself, as she felt hot just thinking about it.
