Under a time crunch as usual, I secured directions and hotfooted it to the Jeep. Within minutes, a plume of yellow dust rose behind me as I tooled along the dirt road, marveling at the unique landscape. In addition to mounds of gigantic Stonehenge-type formations comprised of crimson, brown and gold perpendicular boulders, there were also impressive stands of cottonwood and tamarisk trees that indicated abundant ground water. The Double G Ranch really was a stunning and unique piece of property. I slowed to rumble across a cattle guard and then pulled to a stop, scooped up my camera and stood outside for a few minutes snapping a panorama of photos before continuing my drive.
