“Is it an ingredient used in your line of cosmetics and lotions?” He handed the bottle back to me. “It’s possible. But, that would be Dr. Mallick’s bailiwick. I imagine he could tell you for certain, but right now,” he said, tipping my chin towards him, “I need you to stay still for a minute.” He examined the area gently and soon made the disappointing pronouncement that I needed to wait at least another two days. “I could remove them now, but I don’t think you’d be happy with the results. I’d suggest you wait until Monday or Tuesday,” he said, pulling back. “Just a moment before you go.” He rummaged in a drawer, came back with a thermometer, and ran it across my forehead. “I can feel the heat of your skin through my gloves.” He glanced at the thermometer and both brows shot up.
