Nobody could believe it. Seconds after I posted the story it went viral, lighting up social media with all of the grisly details I’d been able to cobble together. The initial account of Dr. Craig and Dr. Mallick’s grotesque experiment shocked everyone and devastated Lucinda, her family and Ronda. The equally grossed-out citizens of Castle Valley found themselves the focal point of yet another sensational, worldwide front-page headline. I wondered if the locals were developing a complex considering how many of these bizarre stories I’d unearthed in just the past year.
