I felt all the jealous stares when I walked into the dining hall even though Christopher was with me. He asked to speak with my father for a minute and I was praying to the Moon Goddess that they were getting along. Being my parents only child had its drawbacks, and I knew once I was lucky enough to find my mate that my father's protective nature would be overwhelming. A few minutes after being inside the dining hall my mom walked over to me.
"Mani boo, do you know where your father went?" Mom asked me with a smile.
"He asked to speak with Christopher just outside of this hall." I said smiling back at her and looking at the door.
"I better go check on them." Mom said and turned on her heels to walk to the door.
