Chapter 12 Back at the farm, the water was higher than ever. Tom didn’t see any silver crocodiles, but he knew they were there, watching him and Mother climb out of the car and walk up to the house. Soon, the puddles would join to form one big lake and then the crocodiles would be everywhere and it wouldn’t be safe to leave the house anymore.
