Chapter Sixty-Seven
It was a warm, pleasant late afternoon as they exited the parking lot, with Sam and Theresa in the lead. There was a small visitor's building that had kept its intended purpose. A hand-painted banner that said, “New Arrivals Check-in Here.”
There were two women with assault rifles roaming up and down the street. They each had a blue armband. When they noticed the arriving party, they slowly headed toward the Visitors Building.
As they entered, Chief and Lucy made sure to be in front of Adam. They didn't want his mouth to cause problems.
A couple, who seemed to be a little older than Chief and Lucy, was working at the desk.
“Welcome to Tri-Town,” the tall thin woman said in a friendly voice.
“Thank you,” Lucy responded.
“Are you here to visit or relocate?”
