Chapter Forty-Seven The three-vehicle convoy moved south on US-75, leaving the Lexington, Kentucky area. They were eager to get to Shelter 104 and see if their parents/grandparents were still alive. Nine years ago, the last communications satellite had failed, cutting off information about how they were doing. Alex and Marie would be in their early seventies now, if they were still alive.
