Chapter Fifty-Two
Lucy was apprehensive as their trio of vehicles left the main roads and continued on the route the drone had shown them. The abundance of trees caused the road to be heavily shaded. It was apparent that recent work to remove the overgrowth had made the road passable.
There had been signs which were still readable for a visitor’s center, but they were heading away from that and moving toward what the sign had said was the marina.
The group from Texas had made contact with a local team who was leading them here as well, so Lucy had recalled the drone. The two of them now circled, waiting for a break in the tree cover so they could land.
