Chapter Twenty Lucy left the theater and entered the hall. Typically, the four theaters in Shelter 87 would show movies, old sporting games, and recorded TV programs. They would also function as classrooms, churches, or could be used for group meetings. Since sealing the shelters, all but one of the theaters were committed to covering the disaster and what was transpiring on the surface. The one exception was dedicated to children and had 24-hour cartoons. Lucy had spent much of the last few days in the theaters, catching up on the news in what remained of the world. She needed a break from the constant focus on the death of the world she knew. It was all anyone was talking about.
