21 I left O’Malley’s faster than I should have. I should’ve been more cautious. But a bar full of bodies and that missing marshal out back fleeted my feet. The side door led to a skinny alley between the bazaar corridor on the backside and the boardwalk out front. Lucky for me it was deserted, but I couldn’t linger long. I figured BS would be on my heels like a lost puppy if I didn’t disappear, and quick. But I liked the idea of moving without thinking even less than the thought of BS catching up with me.
