Chapter 3: A Mother's Call

It was dark and she was feeling stuffy, her lips turned dry immediately. Where was she! She wondered trying to recall where she was and how she came to this place where she couldn't see a thing. Then she remembered. Adrien! The son of a b***h who was also her husband, she remembered she was thrown into this dark room where he keeps her anytime she goes against him. Ugh! She stretched out placing her hands all over searching for the door until she found it and she used her strength to pound on it screaming with the depth of her lungs to be let out but no one answered, she felt her throat was going dry and her breath was going away from her, she screamed until she passed out.

She opened her eyes and all around her was white, has she finally died and gone to heaven, will she finally find the peace she's been looking for, has the person up there finally decided to answer her prayers, she smiled. Finally she has died and found peace.
She tried sitting up and heard a voice, she looked and saw a woman dressed in white. 'Why does she look familiar'
"Young miss, you're awake" the woman sounded relieved
'Young miss' she stood up immediately looking at the familiar place which was her room, she didn't know whether she was to cry or not but one thing she was glad about was that she wasn't dead, she can't die over a stupid mam.
"What's says the time nurse" she asked
"It's 3Pm" the nurse replied still Smiling
Just then the door opened and a doctor walked in with Adrien, he noticed how she stiffened she got when she saw him
The doctor was all smile "You've woken up.....see I told you she was going to wake up soon, all she needs now is rest" the old doctor said nervously to Adrien with his hands shaking
Lily rolled her eyes, noticing how the doctor was fidgeting....seems like he was threatened by Adrien. She smiled up at the doctor " thanks to you doc I was able to recover else I'ld have been dead in that room" she said and glanced at Adrien who didn't even feel bothered, she felt her heart tighten as she looked away. Adrien glanced at the doctor and he scurried away with the nurse following behind him, he turned to lily
" I can see you got better" he said picking up her favorite little vase from the table and twirling it around his hands
"What do you want" she asked him, knowing he would not talk to her unless he needed something from her
"What in the world made you think I need something from you"
"Since you don't need anyrhing, get out" lily shouted
He came down to her level, with both hands resting gently on her shoulders "not so fast hon, don't forget this is my house not yours" he said
"Thanks for the reminder but for your information I never cared"
The hands holding her shoulders became tight and she winced her face as she felt pain
"What do you want me to do" she rephrased her question
"Good" he released his hands from her and patted her shoulders before getting up
He threw a letter for her, she picked it up tearing it open, it was an invitation letter, she didn't understand.
"It's a letter" she said
"Read the rest" he said to her
She read through it, it was the assembly man who was the fifth richest person in the country, he was celebrating his youngest daughter eighteenth birthday next week and has invited Adrien and his wife to grace the party with their presence. She sighed after reading and looked at him
"Do you really need me there" she asked feeling an incoming headache
"You are coming" he said and stood up
"But i don't want to" he stopped and turned back staring at her "Do you really want to die" he snarled
"I'm just not feeling well, that's it" she said
"I don't care....you are coming"
"Fine I'll come with you to the party but on one condition, you are going to let me visit my parent tomorrow " she said
Ever since she got married to him he never allowed her go back to her parents and she wondered why they never came to see her to know If she was faring well, she missed them so much and has decided to forgive them for using her as a bargain to Adrien
She felt pain on her neck as Adrien's hand were on her neck choking her
"How dare you make a bargain with me, do you want to defile my orders huh" he said choking her
"N...oo, it was my mistake, I'm So...r.r..y" she begged
He let go of her "you are not going to see them" he said as she fell on the floor
He threw a card on the table "use it for your shopping, and don't think of going anywhere else, the guards will be watching you" he said and strolled out shutting the door behind him
Lily sat there crying her eyes out, she has been married off to a beast in form of a man who doesn't care if she's alive and only uses her when he felt he needed something from her, the phone rang out, she stood up slowly answering it.
"Hello"
"You little b***h!"
She pulled the phone out from her ears, what the hell! The son has almost choked her to death and now the mother was going to make her deaf with her shrilled voice
"Mother how are you doing" she said with a sweet voice
"Who's your mother, you fool...you married my son and now he doesn't visit his old parents anymore because of you" Mrs Flincher shouted
Adrien doesn't visit home, what does that have to do with her! She thought
"Mother i think he's been busy with work, and doesn't have time to visit" she said quietly
"What did you say you b***h, you are the reason my son doesn't want to visit us anymore, he's been blinded by you" the woman said angrily
"You wish, he doesn't even spare me a glance" lily thought
"I want the both of you back home before the week runs out and if I don't see you count yourself dead" she threatened
"But that's not up to me to decide" she was saying only to know that the call has been terminated
