Chapter 5: He looked familiar

She felt like she was going to faint and didn't look at where she was going bumping into something hard, she felt herself falling but at that moment she felt herself drawn upward toward something warm, she loved the scent and buried her head deeply into the warmth.

"You should watch your steps while walking" she heard a deep voice say

She looked up quickly at the familiar voice and met deep blue eyes looking at her, she felt the eyes were familiar and she has seen them somewhere but couldn't place a hand on it.

The man pushed her gently away from him and walked towards a black Porsche waiting by the road with the driver waiting, she stared after him with a confused look on her face as the car sped past her.

'Why has he seem so familiar to her, like she has met him somewhere' she wondered

She shrugged off the feeling knowing why she was facing was worse than this, she stood at the bus stop for over twenty minutes and didn't see any car in sight, she doesn't even know where she was, she got scared thinking of the evil things that goes about at night, just then a car stopped in front of her, it was the Porsche from earlier, the driver came down from the car and came over to her, she shifted back

"Hi....I can see you're waiting for a cab but you won't be able to get one at this time in this area, would you mind if I can drop you off wherever you're heading to?" He asked calmly

Lily wasn't going to get into a stranger car, but she doesn't want to stay here standing all night long, and the sky looked like it was going to rain heavily very soon, she made up her mind quickly she was going to risk it and follow this car after all the man from earlier hasn't given her a bad vibe.

'The bad ones don't show their real face the first time' she thought

That was how Adrien has come, smiling and seeming perfect showing his real face after they had gotten married. No! She wasn't going to trust a man so easily again.

The driver cleared his throat" miss, are you okay" he questioned seeing how she turned white.

His question jolted her out of her thoughts "um...yes..I'm fine, and I appreciate it, I'll go with you thanks" she said

He smiled and opened the front door for her, she entered and he drove off and that was when she said him, the man from earlier, he sat at the back seat with his eyes glued to his phone screen typing away seeming oblivious to her, she turned towards him and muttered a 'thanks' to him and he lifted his eyes looking directly at her, lily felt her inside turning on and could not place a finger at what she was feeling.

"You're welcome" he said still looking at her and when she saw her wouldn't release his gaze, she forced her head forward muttering to the driver where she was going, he nodded, she could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand and she suddenly glanced at the rearview mirror only to see him staring at her, she swallowed looking at him, he suddenly threw a grin to her, her eyes were wide opened and she faced forward again telling herself not to look at him anymore, she lay her head on the seat and closed her eyes.

Adrien paced to and fro at the house, he has a really angry expression on his face, three bodyguards were sprawled on the floor their bodies were torn in different angles as blood seeped from the wounds, they moaned in pain

"I sent you three foolish guards to find a woman and you dare to tell me you can't find her, then what the hell are you worth for huh?" He shouted

The rest of the servant kept their head down, there wasn't a single sound in the house except Adrien's heavy breathing, if a pin was thrown down it could be heard, no one wanted to incur his wrath upon them.

Suddenly one of the young servant who was in the kitchen out of fear broke a plate she has been gripping tightly in her hands, the sound of glass Shattering reached Adrien and he signaled for the culprit to be brought before him, the young servant was shivering helplessly as she was being dragged towards him.

"Young master I'm so sorry, It was a mistake" she pleaded with red eyes

Adrien gave her a dirty look and looked at the bodyguard holding her, seeing the go ahead the bodyguard draghed her out of the house despite her screams and cries which was heartbreaking and all of a sudden everywhere got quietened down.

He squatted down looking at the three bodyguards who were still on the floor

"Find her before tomorrow else you won't be alive to see tomorrow" he said and with that he walked up to his room.

She felt someone shaking her shoulders gently, she opened her eyes taking a moment to realize where she was, she has slept off while she was trying to avoid his stare. 'Ugghh' she felt dizzy and tired due to her crying, she felt she was going to die.

"Miss we've arrived" she heard a voice

She turned and looked at the driver, she remembered she has gotten inside the car and she saw they have arrived at her parents home, she thanked him profusely and turning only once to glance at the man in the back seat to thank him also before getting out and waving until the car was out of sight.

The more she thought about it the more she felt the man was so familiar and she has known him from somewhere, she pushed that thought aside looking at the house in front of her and a sudden emotional feeling rushed over her as tears slipped down her pretty face and blurred her view.
