Alison POV
There was no surprise in his eyes, but there was in mine, because I didn't think he knew I was listening to other people's conversations. Although now they weren't talking so much anymore.
"Alison's not ready. It would kill her to have a puppy of mine in her fragile condition.” Eiden replied.
"What are you talking about?” The old man asked.
"She's taken a lot of damage since the Incubus attacked us. I couldn't ask more of her than she's given me now.” Eiden answered.
It seems that Eiden's response causes some kind of commotion among the people present in the room, who gather among themselves to talk about the situation. While Clark and Eiden stand apart, looking at each other, as if they would like to bite each other's necks if they had the chance...
