His dream

The meeting room is filled with loud bickering from the board of directors. They had been fighting Ian’s idea since the meeting start.

            “The land is owned by them. How do u going to ask them to vacate?” One of them raised his voice to Ian.

            “I have plan with mayor office and we going to discuss this matter with their leader.” Ian said.

            “Plan with your dad u mean?” They snickered over the remarks.

Ian is clenching his jaw and fisted his hand below the desk. I reach his hand to stop him from hitting them. These guys have significant amount of shares in the company. If Ian loses his temper, they will withdraw their share from the company and the company will go bankrupt. Ian looks at me calmly.

            “The last time u work with him, we end up going to war with them. Are u really going to take responsibility if anything happens to our company if they decide to do it their way?” One of the directors raised his concern.

He stand up from his chair suddenly.

            “As the matter of fact, I am going to work with my dad again. If they didn’t like it, we have to do it hard way.” He said firmly.

He walks out the conference room leaving the chattering audience. I followed his pursuit along with Nate, his right wing man. He rushes to his office and slump himself over his seat.

            “Are u really going to use violence in this?” Nate raise his concern.

Nate or Nathanial is the son of one of the company biggest shareholders. He is Ian’s childhood friend. I come to know Nate when he started working here after graduating from overseas. He is charming and well spoken gentleman. He treats me well. As expected from an elitist born family. Most of the female staffs called him the sexy eagle due to his sexy piercing gaze. Too bad for them, he is engaged to his long time boyfriend.

            “What choice do we have, Nate?” Ian asked.

He sigh deeply. Nate took a seat in front of him.

            “They are gangsters, man. Do you hear how many time they fled the city before police raids? And how many times they come back act like nothing is happen?” Nate said with worried tone.

            “I am well aware of that. It is time we cleanse the city from their dirty business and took over.” Ian replied.

“I have a plan. How about we poke into their business? Hire an undercover or something and make it to their lair. Gather all Intel we can get and used it as out leverage?” Ian voiced his idea.

“That is dangerous, man. What if we get caught?” Nate is worried.

“Let’s make a plan with the police then. Or any other special force we have in the city. We can strengthen our defence if they decide to attack. Then we make a deal with other town police department if they decide to run away from here.” I chimed in my idea.

Both of them looking at me surprise. Ian smiles at me.

            “Alright then. Miss Mytheus, arrange my meeting with the chief of police department.” He instructed.

            “Right away, Mr. Anderson.” I replied.

            “Owh, enough with formality. I know u call her baby.” Nate annoyed at Ian.

My face redden. I can’t blame him. He caught us kissing by Ian’s car at the parking few night before. Ian was moaning and calling me baby. Nate seems to be unbothered by it but today he starts teasing. I knew he will make it as his point when our guard are down.

            “Don’t I warn u? If u start spreading rumours, I’ll kill you.” Ian threatened him.

            “Come on man. I won’t do that. But I do enjoy teasing u guys.” He smirked at me.

I turn my back heading for the door blushed. I can’t hear it anymore. I leave the two grown man bickering like a child inside.

Ever since the encounter with Julius, Ian has been very sweet with me. He would spend the night at my apartment except during weekend. He even cooks for me sometimes. I get really comfortable having him around.

I sit at my desk and begin browsing for the chief of police office phone numbers online. I need to start setting up the meeting urgently. This project is important to Ian. He want this project to be his first baby since he is appointed as director.

It was a project for north side of the city. North side of the city is known for the most notorious neighbourhood. They are ruled by gang member and they are rumoured to be the mastermind behind all the crime in the city. They hold the power over the north with the help of some rich tycoon from the city. That is how they funded and get away with anything. The residents of north side are constantly living in fear. They can’t start a business without having to pay large amount of money to bribe the mafias. Therefore, most of them either living in the poverty or move to the other side of city.

Ian plans to redevelop the city by building new residency, school and medical facility. He plans to make the north as tourist attraction site as they have beautiful reservoir for hot spring. He pitches his plan to his father as he is now the new elected mayor and he was delighted over it. The company board of directors protested at first. They are agreeing after Mayor Anderson persuaded them to trust Ian’s vision.

The first time we went to the north with his father meeting with the locals. The gang members are not delighted over his presence. They makes scene when Mayor Anderson introduce Ian’s plan. They throw rocks at him and started to shoot randomly. Luckily we manage to escape the fiasco unharmed. Since then, Ian and his father have been under public scrutiny.

            “Miss Mytheus, cancel the rest of my schedule for today. I have emergency to attend to.” Ian said while rushing for elevator.

I look over Nate confused.

            “Don’t worry. Your baby is fine.” He leaned over my face and whispered.

I am pretending to get angry. He laughs frantically.

            “Hey u free tonight? Let’s have dinner with me.” He offered suddenly.

            “A date with me huh? How about Mr. fiancé?” I teased him.

He sighed over my word.

            “We broke up.” He replied.

            “Whoa. What happens?” I asked.

            “Let me tell u over dinner.”

            “Alright then. It is a date.” I smile.

Nate brings me to his favourite French restaurant that afternoon. We are having a good time and he drives me home after. Ian texts me after I reach home about to go for shower.

What are u doing, baby?

I smile and replied.

About to head on shower.

Few seconds later he replied.

Mind if I join you?

This man still manages to make me smile like an i***t even with his text.

Sorry. My shower is not fit for 2 people.

I tease him. I knew he will eventually rush here. I used to tease him with photo of me wearing new set of lingerie before. It is only take few minutes for him to arrive and f**k me senselessly that night.

I giggle and throw my phone on my bed. I quickly enter the shower naked getting ready for him. My bell rings as soon as I enter the bathroom. That was quick I said to myself. I wrap myself with towel and run for the door happily. I open the door and all of the sudden my head is bludgeon and I am on the floor unconscious.
