She had kept up a routine of domestic chores to try and behave normally for Gemma, who was playing by the table on the slate-grey carpet. They had been inside the human habitat of the Biosphere for several days now and had not seen anyone since the airlock was closed on them. But it was comfortable enough and there were provisions for a few days, plus books and DVDs for Gemma so she was entertained.
