Chapter 6
Catherine didn’t like the new living arrangements. She didn’t take long to make her distaste known, either. Whatever Reid had done, or whatever Reid thought that Cameron had done, to get rid of her when she’d attacked Reid kept her from attacking in that particular way again, but she was able to make her presence known without much trouble. She put on a real show for them with the lights, and a visit from Ali told Cameron that the show wasn’t limited to his side of the house.
Ali’s visit meant that the secret was out about Reid and, especially, Jason’s presence in the house. Cameron had to do some very fast talking to get out of that one. He hadn’t had to use such a glib tongue since the good old days when he’d had to keep social workers at bay, when Catherine had convinced him
