Looking tense, Drew pushed the button for the other elevator, and when it arrived Lily and Finn got on with him.
“Is he always that abrupt?” Lily asked Drew once the elevator started moving.
“Pretty much,” he sighed in response. “He’s an asshole honestly, but at least he used to be a decent Alpha, before he left the pack for over a month.”
“Why did he actually leave?” Finn asked curiously with an arched eyebrow. “Did he have business in other states or something?”
“I shouldn’t really say,” the Beta said, pursing his lips in displeasure.
“Drew, you can trust us,” Lily told him gently. “We just want to help.” After everything Luna Beth had done to help her and Finn settle into Seattle, she just wanted to make sure Beth had the same kind of support from them.
