“How are you feeling?” I tried my best not to sound squeaky “Sorry I got you worried princess” Tyler’s smile was the only thing that made me feel better. I wiped my tears with the back of my hand and took a much needed breath before I spoke again “It’s okay” I smiled back as I could see that he was truly all right “You know, I can’t play football with that leg, bummer!” he scratched the back of his head   “How did that even happen?” I enquired “It was an accident, I just slipped, don’t worry okay, I’ll be fine” was Tyler’s strenuous response. And that was my cue to leave and let him rest “You should rest now; I’ll come back later okay’’ I told him before I left the room. I noticed that Aaron wasn’t around.  I was sure he came inside behind me but I must have been busy talking to Tyler and I did not notice when he went out. I found it strange. They were best friends but Aaron didn’t stay.  If my best friend was in the hospital I would never leave her side for sure! I quit thinking about the matter and walked my way out of the hospital eye searching for Aaron. Assuming he went searching for a snack or a coffee but when I exited the building, his red Ferrari wasn’t parked where we left it earlier. Great, he left!  I thought upset.  How could he leave his best friend like that? I reached out my hand to my back but I realized I that I forgot my backpack in the car. I rolled my eyes in frustration as I reached for my pocket to grab my phone but It wasn’t there either! I must’ve slipped it onto my bag before I left school in my hurry. Shit! s**t! ….shit! I cursed inwardly at the unfortunate circumstances Lucky me, I had some change in my pocket and so I was able to take a cab back home. I hurried inside and grabbed the house’s phone. I was furious! Aaron dropped me at the hospital and left with my bag inside his car! I had all my stuff in it including my phone. I pressed Aaron’s number since it was second on speed dial   after dad’s.  Tyler always forgot his mobile and called Aaron from the house’s phone. It rang two times before he picked up “Tyler?” Aaron said as soon as he picked up the line “It’s grace” I corrected. As if he didn’t know that Tyler was still in the hospital! I mentally pointed out “Sorry. Who? ” He sounded as if it was the first time he heard my first name “Grace as in Tyler’s sister” I emphasized “Oh! And to what do I owe the pleasure of hearing your voice over the phone?” “Oh! You owe it to the fact that you have my cell phone and my bag in your car!” “What car?” “The one I can’t handle, remember?!” I told him on a sarcastic tone “I’m sure you could handle other things pretty well” was  his perverted response  “I want it back Aaron, I need it” “If you want your bag come and fetch it” he said carelessly “Okay, I’m coming right away “ “Oh I almost forgot, I won’t go home tonight, so it’ll have to wait until tomorrow” “What? You’re kidding right.” I said outraged “Nope. Not kidding” “I need my phone Aaron!  You can’t jus….” He interrupted “Not my problem baby girl” then hung up on me before I could say a word more.   I shut off my eyes and took a deep breath in order to calm my nerves. Although I was mad, Aaron was just being, well, Aaron. I couldn’t do a thing about it. Luckily I had no homework , plus I was tired after the long day I had so I dialed Lilly’s number to tell her that I forgot my phone in my bag–obviously she was my best friend– and I told her about what happened as well. I really needed to let it out. All the anxiety and the worries I felt. We talked about half an hour or so after that I was just too tired hence I hopped into a hot relaxing bath. Dad called the house later in the evening, saying that he was going to stay the night at the hospital. So I grabbed a quick dinner and then went to bed. ***       The morning after   I knocked on the door three times before it opened “Yes” Aaron inquired unenthusiastically, resting his shoulder on the door.  He was shirtless , showing his torso in all his glory–one can wonder if he didn’t work out during his sleep–with his messy hair, he seemed to have just woken up from bed, or didn’t sleep last night–anyway. I cleared my throat as I said firmly “I’m here to take my bag”  He raised an eyebrow and pushed the door wide open “Oh be my guest!” I rolled l my eyes at him as I entered “Where is it?” I asked, I know he would take pleasure in making me search the whole house even if the bag was in his car. “It’s on my bed”  I narrowed my eyes , I wasn’t getting caught in his mind games, as he noticed my expression he said “Don’t worry; we didn’t use it as a pillow” “We.. Ugh that’s disgusting.” I worded repulsive. I was used to his perverted replies so I didn’t dwell on this one.  The sooner I got my bag back, the better. He waved his hand showing  me the way to his bedroom so I followed his lead .on my way  I stumbled upon a piece of lingerie on the floor. I tried as much  as I could to avoid the awkwardness but  Aaron must’ve seen the look on my face  “Don’t worry she’s in the shower” He said  and as I looked at him he  smirked innocently Once inside I saw the bag on the table–perverted as he was, he was playing me all along– and so I realized my mistake. I grabbed my bag and hurried out  of his room but He stood at the entrance stopping me from leaving “Wanna join the party baby girl?” He suggested devilishly “Let me go” I answered plainly “Why? Threesomes are fun!” He smirked, winking at me. And since I was standing near him, I could smell the alcohol in his breath “Are you drunk?”I asked stressing the last word. “Define drunk” He countered playfully. “You are so drunk, ugh!” I rolled my eyes and as he didn’t budge, I pushed him with both hands using my bag as a shield enough to make him lose his balance and so I was able to step out of his room and hurried out of the house. “He’s unbelievable!” I let out loud as soon as I left his house nervously throwing my hair back. Only then I noticed that I was face to face with Chloe–The queen of gossip.
