"Oh goodness! What's happening with me?" "Why does my heart beat faster whenever I'm with Ryan?" " I can't possibly be in love with a human-wolf right?" Sam asked, sighing lightly before throwing herself onto the bed.

The harsh knock on the door jolted her back to reality. Before she could stand from the bed, a beautiful lady with a frowning face barged into the room.

"Who are..?" Sam couldn't complete her statement as Hilda pushed her back on the bed.

Hilda, who was the childhood admirer of Ryan always wanted to be his fated mate. She always prayed that her wolf was going to acknowledge Ryan as her mate but it never happened.

Elder Cole, the most powerful elder in the park and also Hilda's father, has been trying to convince Ryan to marry Hilda but Ryan only sees her as his sister.

Seeing that Ryan was being sweet and even shredded his skin for Sam, got her furious. She was the one who reported the situation to her dad who in turn called for the elder council meeting.

"Stay the hell away from Ryan" Hilda spat angrily. "You are human, we are monsters, we don't belong in each other's worlds," she said.

"But you people can shred your skin right?" Sam asked, confused, not understanding Hilda's anger towards her.

" Which part of staying away, don't you understand?" Hilda said, holding Sam's hand tightly. " Go back to your world, you're not welcomed here" Hilda spat before furiously throwing Sam to the floor, then she stormed out in anger

*At the council office

"You shredded your skin, Alpha Ryan?" Elder Cole asked. "Why did you do that?" He asked again. Ryan just listened to all their questions without answering any and when he finally spoke, he said the unbelievable.

" Announce to the whole wolves here in the park that they're now allowed to shred their skin as they please, as long as they don't exceed their time limit," Ryan said with authority.

The elders exchanged confused looks as they couldn't believe what they just heard. The same Alpha Ryan who opposed wolves shedding their skin and even punished wolves who disobeyed him suddenly passes an abomination as a law.

" Unbelievable! What is wrong with you, Alpha Ryan?" Elder Cole said angrily. " Why are you doing this,ehn Ryan?" "And don't tell me it's because of a human you saved, that excuse is lame " he added.

"Sam needs all the comfort and love she can get here " Ryan replied

"Then let her return to her people, " Elder Cole said disgustedly.

"Her people?" Ryan chuckled coldly. " We are her people," he said with a serious face. " Sam, the human girl is my mate," Ryan declared.

"What?!" All the council of elders exclaimed together. Whatever Ryan just said landed like a bomb to them.

" It has never been recorded in history that a full human became a Luna to a werewolf park.

"So henceforth I expect you to give Sam the same respect you give to me " Ryan commanded before leaving the council office.

As soon as he got out he heaved relief before going to see Sam. He quietly entered the room and he saw Sam in a white long robe standing by the window staring at the moon. He stood there admiring the woman his wolf wanted so badly, he scanned her from head to toe with his eyes and smiled with pleasure, all her curves were luscious and in the right place. He straightened up as she turned around.

"Didn't notice you were here already" Sam said

"Yeah, I didn't want to disturb you, it seems you were enjoying yourself" Ryan replied

"And how did the meeting go?" Sam asked curiously. Ryan took a while, thinking if he could tell her everything about the meeting including the "mate issue". Seeing that Ryan was quiet, Sam guessed that it didn't end well, she already imagined how chaotic it would be.

She took Ryan's hand in her's before she said her mind.

"I think I should go home," Sam said in a low voice.

"Why?" Ryan asked in a disappointed tone, even his inner wolf was sad. Sensing something happened, Ryan scanned through Sam's body and he saw a finger mark on it.

"What happened to you, Sam?" " Did anyone attack you while I was away?"

"No one did, I just don't want any….

Sam's words were silenced as Ryan gently kissed her before whispering to her ears.

" You're my mate, Sam," Ryan said softly. "We are meant to be," he added.

"How's that even possible?" Sam said, confused. "Was that why the other lady was angry at me?" She thought.

"Ryan, you're a good person and I'm happy that I am your fated mate but I can't be with a wolf," Sam said. " How would I introduce you to my family and all?" she added.

" I can shred my skin for you Sam, I can spend eight hours daily with you in your world," Ryan said, trying to convince Sam. His inner wolf was in pain as it heard Sam's rejection.

" But your people won't accept, me Ryan, they won't…"

"Hush, there, I am the Head Alpha, they would accept everything I want, " Ryan said to her assuringly before hugging her tightly. " I know I have only been with you for some days but I can't see myself living without you Sam, please let's make this work," Ryan said.

" Then come with me to my world, spend your first eight hours with me Ryan, and prove to me that you love me," Sam said. Ryan's inner wolf growled with excitement as he heard Sam's condition.

"Please!!" Sam pleaded.

"Alright fine" Ryan replied with joy "I'd go with you back home but I must return before my time elapses," he said.

"That's fine by me," Sam said happily.

"All I have to do now is to hand over some responsibility to some elders as I'd be away," Ryan said as he turned to leave the room.

" I love you, Ryan, so much," Sam said, smiling at him.

"I love you too, Sam," he replied before stepping out.

He sighed heavily as he walked down to Elder Cole's apartment to inform him of his latest decision.
