Lucian’s POV Having to leave her in a trail of dust was torture. The emptiness I felt running from her is something even I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. But it will all be worth it. Eventually, I made my way to the city, having to run further into town, as opposed to the place I had ready to stake out the warehouse. I know she lost the trail of my scent as soon as I crossed over from the forest. The different smells of the city would easily cover my scent, so I found a small abandoned shack about a block from the warehouse and, thankfully, the door was broken and just big enough to shelter my wolf's form. I peered out of the cloudy plastic pane built into the back of the rundown shack. My heart stops when I see her. Her beauty sees no bounds as she lurks along the edge of the forest
