Alyssa's POV: "Hide, baby. Please. You have to hide." The woman was tall with thick golden curls cascading down her shoulders, her dress torn and soaked with blood. She was holding a small girl tightly, trying to muffle her sobs. "Mama, I don't want to go. I want to stay with you," The girl whimpered, tears streaming down her dirty cheeks. My heart pounded as I watched from a place I didn’t recognize. Then the wind shifted, and suddenly the woman spun the child around and—thwack!—an arrow pierced straight through her chest. She gasped, blood bubbling at her lips, and crumpled. "RUN!" She screamed as she shoved the girl away. The girl ran. Through trees. Through thorns. Screaming, barefoot. Then she tripped and fell.
