“Fifteen minutes,” Sera said, glancing at the clock beneath the cloister. “We can cover half the school in that time.”
Bri laughed. “Lead on, Princess of Efficiency.”
They slid onto a stone bench under the covered walk and Sera unfolded a creased campus map with the confidence of someone who’d memorized it years ago. She uncapped a pen with her teeth, circled a cluster of buildings to the north, and tapped.
“Okay. First day runs on half periods, thirty minutes each, so you meet all your instructors, both Luneless and Path.” She paused.
“We don’t call them ‘werewolf classes’ because half of what we learn is governance, history, diplomacy, and spiritual disciplines.
‘Path studies’ works. Or ‘Lunebrook core’ if you want to sound like a brochure.”
