Bri studied him for half a second, weighing, then smiled, slow and knowing.
“Try to keep up,” she said, and turned, already heading that way.
Keil’s grin came back, sharper this time as he fell into step beside her.
“Oh, I will.”
A few yards back, Dom watched the entire exchange unfold, arms crossed, jaw tight.
Raeth’s voice stirred, amused. You could go over. Speak to her. Stop that.
She’s already decided Dom muttered.
The wolf’s hum lingered like an echo in his bones. Instead, Dominic turned his attention to a group of girls approaching, all sporting his number.
Kai’s voice cut across the tension. “Alright, wolves, back to the school. Showers, food, and sleep before anyone breaks something."
The groups began to disperse, laughter trailing through the chill night air.
