Amelia's POV:
The last leg of our journey to New Moon pack I felt Cassandra's distraction. Her whole being was never quite on the same plane of existence the whole run. Two things I know.... One, Cas saw something in the forest after the attack, I think we all know that. And two, she is hiding something big from me. For now, I have to concentrate on seeing Damien again and trust that Cas will share whatever it is distracting her in her own time. She has never purposely mislead me before.
The closer we get to the border the more I start to become apprehensive. I know in my heart my relationship with my mate would never work out if I did not take this leap into the unknown, but it would be a lie to say I was not fearful of the outcome.
