'' What? No that can not be,'' Manny let out, standing up to his feet as he looked at me in disbelief.
'' He was shot at the city's charity ball,'' I said, and Manny still didn't believe it.
'' How did it happen? Who did it? Was he not supposed to be with his men?'' Manny asked me so many questions all at the same time.
'' Manny, it all happened so fast. First, there was an explosion, and then before I knew it, Xander was on the floor bleeding out. I didn't see the person responsible,'' I tried to clarify.
'' Oh my goodness, why did no one call us, his father doesn't know,'' Manny let out as he took out his phone.
