My dad walked me outside to where the event was taking place, and as I took in the cool breeze of the afternoon, it helped me recollect my thoughts.
''Let's get this over with,'' I turned to my father, and he nodded.
I walked into the event and everyone's eyes were on me, they looked surprised that I came.
