“Is this the first class you skip?” Eric laughs at my question. “Not really.” We remain in silence again and pretend that we’re actually paying attention to our books and notebooks. I take out my cellphone from a pocket of my jeans and start checking if everything is fine. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have battery. After saving the phone again, I decide to have an actual conversation instead of using the spare time to do homework. “Have you skipped another class this year?” I ask just loud enough for him to hear in order to not be taken out of the library. “Yes, those times when I suffered panic attacks.” “Well, that was for your health. Have you ever skipped class just because you wanted to?” I insist with a raised eyebrow. He lowers his gaze to his lap. “No.”
