“Follow me,” she instructed and continued forward. “Where is that girl taking the baby?” I asked, trying to sound disinterested as she led me through the musty corridor. “He has been taken to the nursery in the castle. Don’t worry. There are several nannies who will be looking after him. Everyone will be kind to the boy,” Laura replied. “I am sure he will be well cared for by the Winter Goddess,” I said. “Not that I care. He is no longer my concern.
