CHAPTER 27
Zui Mar and Nemer waited for him so they could pass the threshold of the ship’s airlock together. They were bathed in a gloomy blue light that emanated from under the grid flooring. As Nemer had predicted, the air was unbearably humid and reeked of rotten food and rust. But despite this inconvenience, the interior looked comfortable and was in good shape.
They reached the cockpit out of breath, and Zui quickly turned on the life support systems while Nemer checked the thrusters and set the inertial stabilizers to minimum output.
