CHAPTER 6
Commander Pall Gilgard saw the hatch crash down like a bolt of lightning. That metal alloy wall, two-and-a-half arns thick, separated him from the fugitives and, in an instant, he knew very well that this could mean failure and cost him his life. He angrily turned to the lieutenant beside him, who quickly activated a breacher drone. A multi-faceted sphere emerged from the transport ship and connected to the interface port on the side of the rusty wall. The code-breaking unit clicked and whirred for a few seconds before the drone started emitting signals that were undecipherable to Gilgard, but the lieutenant was fluent in droid language and promptly translated for him.
