Chapter 27Sperlonga. Present day. The next morning, Little let herself into the garage, rolling the great doors back and finding herself in what her dad jokingly used to refer to as his office. She hadn’t been here in a long time. She had spent the night thinking about the things she now knew. The same written word that she had learned to love through her stories were the way in which her mother’s life had been ruined; and Little now knew how words could hurt as well as heal.
