A sharp, brutal sound was heard as glass shattered everywhere. Daniel screamed and Emilia dived to cover his body, her arms wrapped tight around him as the sounds of bullets hit the walls like angry rain. Her heart pounded so loudly, competing with the surrounding chaos.
