"So, uh..." I struggled to find the words, staring shyly up into his eyes. "You must have other things to attend to; thanks again for earlier."
He smiled again, this time flashing a row of perfect, pearly teeth. I wasn't sure if it was real or just a ploy to relax me, but either way, I liked it.
"Like I said before, it was nothing." He says, shrugging his shoulders. "Besides, I got a chance to talk to a beautiful woman such as yourself."
"Umm, thank you..." I blushed, looking away briefly. "I should let you..."
"Why don’t you have dinner with me?" My lips fell open a fraction of an inch, and my body suddenly felt quite warm, despite how chilly it was. "Um...what?"
He moved in closer, his eyes still dancing with that same small smile. He didn't ask the question again, perhaps realizing that I needed some time to process it. He merely extended a long finger and ran it along the side of my face.
A scorching, smouldering trail was left in its path by that simple action, burning the body. My entire body began to visibly tremble, and I unconsciously moved in the same direction.
"I-I don’t..." I slowed down in an effort to buy myself more time.
"It's just going to be a simple dinner, nothing more." He says it with a smile. "Besides, what’s the harm in that?. We both could keep each other company unless you have other plans."
I tipped my head to the side and smiled incredulously. "Well, I’m not really familiar with you, for starters."
He finally conceded, but he wasn't about to give up that endearing grin that just served to increase my desire for him. "That’s true, and this would be a perfect time to get to know each other."
"Well then, I guess that would be a....." i trailed off when the sound of a phone buzzing rang through the hotel hall, ending our conversation. I watched as he took out his phone, glancing down at the caller ID, and a frown graced his handsome face.
"If you would give me a minute." He says, raising a finger, and I nod, and he walks a reasonable distance away from me, talking his call.
I wasn’t able to listen in on the conversation, but from the look on his face, I could tell it was something serious. At least, it was serious enough to get him pissed.
I was still rooted to my spot, running my hands through my hair and ogling his gorgeous features, and at that precise moment, nature decided to make a call.
I attempted to signal to him that I was leaving for the ladies' room since there was no way I could hold it in, but it was tough because he had his back to me.
Deciding to be quick, I rushed to the restroom, handling my business before walking out to wash my hands at the basin.
A beautiful woman, tall and sexy with a model-like body, stood beside me, her phone to her ear as she giggled.
"I plan on making him mine tonight." She laughs as she speaks. "You don’t have to worry; everything is all planned out; all you need to do is get things ready."
She turns to gaze at me, a scowl on her face when our eyes meet, and she rolls hers, walking past me and out of the restroom. I cleaned my hands, walked out of the restroom, and went back to the hotel hall in search of an insanely gorgeous man with grey eyes.
His eyes wandered around the hall, and I smiled, raising my hand to wave at him, when the same woman I had seen in the restroom walked past me, rushing to where he stood as she latches herself at him.
She whispers something into his ear, and a small smile makes its way to his face. My steps flutter back, and I feel the pain grip my heart. What exactly was I expecting? Why would someone like him be interesting to me? I watched them go, and his head turned in my direction.
But before he could get a glimpse of me, I hid behind a pillar. The pain in my heart grew even more as I made my way back to my hotel room.
