Rachel’ POV
"Friend, you are glowing."
"Say it again, she looks more beautiful with each day that passes. Tell us the secret." My two friends complimented me; they might not be sincere with their compliments, but they are telling the truth. I can feel myself glowing. I was blushing like a little girl; my cheeks were practically red from it. I hid my face with my hand.
"Oh, this one has to do with a guy. Tell." Rose exclaimed, She gets to be the nosy one in the group. She is 6 feet tall, pale-skinned, and has black hair. The only difference between the two of them is that Jase is a bit shorter with brunette hair, and she is more reserved.
"Mr. Sternberg, obviously."
"I thought he didn’t agree to the proposal."
"He didn’t disagree either, right, friend?" Jase said this weirdly, looking at Rose, who can’t control her mouth.
"Yes, but now he is mine. We have been spending time together for two weeks now. The guy is amazeballs." I squirmed at the flashbacks; my lace thong was soaked wet.
"So tell us, what did you guys do?" Asked Rose.
"We have been having s*x for three days," I said, smiling.
"Spending time? You mean just having s*x?" Jase elbowed her. "I don’t mean it like that, but I am happy for you."
"It starts with s*x, i***t. You know the guy is rich and handsome, and he knows his story in bed. And he is definitely falling for..." I was distracted by a person laughing so loudly that everyone in the restaurant turned to him; it was a table not far from ours, and I noticed the guy who had his back on me to be Cosmo. "Cosmos." I whispered to them, and they looked.
"You are falling in love." I heard the guy sitting with Cosmo talk. With our hearing ability, it was easy for us to eavesdrop on the conversation if we focused. I felt my heart pumping a lot of blood. "Did you hear that? I told you it was getting there; he is falling in love with me." I reached for my friends’ hands and squeezed them in excitement.
"Especially not with a human." My heart stopped. My happiness was cut very short. He just said he couldn’t be in love with a human. Am I a human?
"I am a vampire, right?" I noticed that the thoughts were no longer in my mind, but I just said them out loud.
"Friend, I am sorry." I felt anger brewing inside me. I am hurt, but anger is more evident. This means he was using me. A whole me. This man doesn’t know me; he hurts my dad’s daughter and gets away with it. That stupid human will be the one to pay. Cosmo is mine. MINE.
"You are saying sorry to the wrong person." I grinned.
"I know that grin; you are definitely up to no good. Don’t get in trouble." Jase was concerned.
"We won’t. But that guy belongs to me and me alone." They will do whatever I tell them to do, no questions asked.
Cleo’s POV
I haven’t seen Cosmo in two weeks; I don't know why my heart stings at that. If I were a bad kisser, he wouldn’t be avoiding me but making fun of it; he's just running away from something else. That coward. I put my car keys on top of the kitchen counter and walked out. I drove to work, and I feel so down. I actually hate him. When I pulled up in the parking lot, I saw him getting out of his car, sexy as ever, and I got very angry from there. I decided to go and confront his ass the moment I got inside the building. I went straight to his office and didn’t even knock. I was beyond angry.
"I finally decided to show your face, coward." I calmly said this to him, and he just looked at me without saying a word. "Thought as much; what is your problem? So you randomly go around kissing people and avoid them after? It's not that I was affected by it, but it’s a very stupid thing to do. Or are you still trying to prove that all women fall at your feet, begging for your d**k? Well, I am not one of them." I kept talking like a crazy person, and he was just standing there on the other side of the table looking at me. I decided to just walk away because he wouldn’t say anything, and when I walked away, he held my hand. I stopped dead in my tracks, looked at his hand, and looked up at him. He walked to me; his hand was cold. I didn’t break eye contact, and my breathing was not normal.
He looked deep into my eyes before smashing his lips into mine. He held me close to him. Sparks were flying between us, and the kiss grew intense. His hands were now reaching for my buttocks and gently squeezing them; intensity was building up between my thighs; I was wet; and his bulge was now poking me, and I didn’t mind. I wanted him inside of me desperately. I was moaning in response to his touch and kiss. In a flash of lightning, I was on top of the table, and he stood between my legs. The elastic-tight dress that I was wearing was getting shorter. We didn’t stop devouring each other’s lips for anything. I was inexperienced, but I have read novels where people make love, so I will figure it out. Why am I willing to give this man my innocence just like that? I really like all the other women he always refers me to. I stopped kissing him immediately, and he looked at me with confusion.
"I am not like the girls you are used to." I tried to sound as convincing as I could, and I pushed him away from me. I stood up and fixed myself.
"I know." He said he was embarrassed. I widened my eyes at his finally admitting something. "We need to stay away from each other; it’s for your own good. Close the door on your way out." He said he was going to his chair.
