Chapter 11

904 Words
We arrived at Glitter’s hotel; it was a 5-star hotel, very posh and exquisite. I may not have been poor growing up, but this was way too fancy even for me. As we go inside the two-door entrance, a man in gold and black attire bows at our arrival, with a porter behind us. The reception was perfectly decorated; it had a modern design. Gold and white were screaming in the room; the front desk was not that loud; it occupied a small space, and behind "Glitter’ hotel was written in bold. The lights were magnificent; I loved my temporary PA job if it meant being in such places. A very beautiful woman sat behind the desk, and she had a big smile as we approached. "Good afternoon. I welcome you to Glitter’s hotel." She melodically spoke; she was like a robot. She was good at her job. Can I please get your details so that you can go upstairs and rest?" "Cosmo Sternberg." He sounded like he was very tired. I wonder why he is so tired when it’s only 4 p.m. in the evening. Now that I notice it, he even had bags under his eyes. "Let me take a guess; you are Mrs. Sternberg?" I heard the receptionist say this as she was checking the reservation on the computer. I widened my eyes at her and corrected her, "No, no, definitely not." I was shaking my head, and Cosmo was just looking at me, amused. "Sorry about that, miss; here are the cards to your rooms. Enjoy your stay." Cosmo took his card and turned his heels towards the elevator, and I took mine and murmured a thank you to the receptionist as I followed this grumpy man. We got into the elevator. "Mrs Sternberg." He teased me, not even looking at me. I had to come up with the best way out of this. I faked a laugh and said, "Just imagine; that lady surely belittled me." I was rolling my eyes. The lift saved me by opening, and I jumped out without wasting a second and located my room a minute later. Our rooms were opposite each other. Great. Just after I threw myself on top of the fluffy bed, I heard a knock, and I stood up to get to the door. It was my handsome, annoying boss. "You need to get a new outfit for the launch; it’s on the company; don’t worry about it." He handed me a black card and went back to his room. Who doesn’t love getting a new clothing item? Definitely not me. I immediately went out; this hotel is situated on the right side of town. There are shops everywhere near it. I went inside the first boutique I came across, and I was met by a young woman wearing a very stylish black suit. "Good evening, Mam. Welcome to Zara Boutique." She said it with a polite smile. "Evening. Can you help me?" "Gladly. So what are we going for?" You can tell that she is not just an employee here; she knows fashion. "I need something young and vibrant." I smiled at her. "And sexy." She said it with a grin. I didn’t know about sexy, but then why not? She led us deep into the boutique, and we stopped in front of a white blazer. She took it and faced me. "I am going to a business launch, not some party." I said that and coated my judgement with a little laugh. "This is formal, young, and sexy. Very vibrant; now go and fit." I did as I was told. The blazer was open from the back to just before the stomach, on both sides. When you look from the back, it’s like I am wearing a skirt and a blazer, but on the front, it’s only a blazer. It was not too short, but it was not long; it was on what is referred to as the vastus lateralis. It's perfectly fitted; I love it but am not sure since it’s a work event. I went out to get my stylist’s opinion, obviously. "Yes!" She exclaimed. "Exactly how I pictured it. Here are the shoes." She handed them to me before I could even look at them. My phone beeped at an incoming message. It was the arrogant boss. I am never late. It won’t start today, especially not with you. It reads. "I have to go. Thank you for your wonderful fashion eye. I will have to trust you even with these shoes." I went to the till and paid. I was now looking at myself in the mirror, ready. The blazer dress paired nicely with the 6-inch white heels with stripes. Just as I walked out, he was also walking out. He looked so perfect, I could smell his cologne from my doorway. He neatly combed his short black hair. He looked magnificent; I couldn’t even see that he was strangely gawking at me, just like I was gawking at him. He seemed like he was struck by thunder. We stood there eyeing each other for a few seconds until he seemed to have let go of what was holding him. "When you are done literally mouth-watering, join me." He started walking away. Like nothing happened. I couldn't help but show how surprised I was. I couldn't help but show how surprised I was. "What?!"
