Chapter 8 As soon as Mika got home from work Tuesday evening, he began fixing dinner. Buck arrived exactly at six-thirty, as he had the previous evening. He sniffed when he walked into the kitchen, saying, “Whatever you’re making smells delicious.” Very seriously, Mika told him, “It’s the specialty of the house, liukas Joes.” “Huh?” Buck c****d his head in question, then grinned. “I bet that’s Finnish for sloppy Joes.” Laughing, Mika replied, “Got it in one.” He put two buns on each plate, spooned the mixture over them, and added coleslaw to one side. “If you’ll take these to the table, I’ll pour the coffee.” He did, and they sat down to eat. “How was your day?” Buck asked. “Busy, even though it’s only Tuesday.
