The second my plane touched down, my phone blew up. Ping after ping, notification chimes didn't let up for a second. Nearly a hundred calls, all from David, plus a mile-long string of text messages. All of them, obviously, were asking where the hell I'd gone. My friend had shot me a few voice messages too. "What the hell, this happens right when you leave the country?!"
