As we move forward in this true story, you will gradually uncover the complete truth of Shaitangarh.
## **Chapter 1**
Aryan and Anupam were riding through a village on their motorcycle when they suddenly spotted something strange, resembling dark magic, on the road. Anupam turned to Aryan and said, "Brother, stop quickly! Something doesn't feel right." But Aryan countered, "Aren't you ashamed of talking like this despite being a science student?" Silencing Anupam, Aryan accelerated. However, the moment they crossed the intersection, a profound darkness enveloped them—so thick that they could neither see nor breathe. They lost consciousness within that pitch-black void.
When they opened their eyes, they found themselves in an entirely different world.
> Now, you must be wondering why dark magic has been performed at intersections since ancient times? Actually, an intersection is a place where the energy concentration is so high that it can connect multiple dimensions together. We will discuss this further later, but let's get back to the story for now.

When Anupam and Aryan opened their eyes, they saw a world before them where the sun gleamed in a crimson red hue. Every animal and creature there was non-human. The city was filled with numerous buildings, but they were completely in ruins. Right then, a status window appeared before Anupam and Aryan.
It displayed their strength, their abilities, and the countdown for when the demons of that world would begin playing their sinister games with them. Seeing all of this, Anupam was terrified. He started hitting Aryan, saying, "I told you to stop! Why didn't you listen to me?" Aryan panicked too, but they both gathered their courage because they now had only two hours left to make their move. Their protective shield was set to deactivate in two hours. Outside that shield, monsters resembling cockroach-human hybrids were desperately trying to break in to devour them.
While Anupam was granted a speed-related power, Aryan received a sword along with sword-based skills. Anupam and Aryan wondered where they could run and how they could learn more about this world. However, time was ticking away rapidly. Soon, they had only five minutes left.
Just then, they noticed a nearby building with its lights on. They devised a plan: Aryan would climb onto Anupam’s back, Anupam would run at top speed, and Aryan would clear the path with his sword, cutting down anyone who came in their way.
The moment the protective shield vanished, Anupam bolted toward the building with incredible speed. Suddenly, a cockroach hybrid lunged onto the path, and the rest began blocking their way as well. Anupam’s speed was so immense that the cockroach-human hybrids began dying upon colliding with him, which granted Anupam more points and power.
Just as they were about to reach the building, Anupam suddenly lost his footing and took a violent fall, leaving him severely injured. Instead of honoring their friendship and helping his friend, Aryan abandoned him right there and ran away. Seizing the moment, a cockroach hybrid rushed in and took Anupam’s life. The moment it killed Anupam, the cockroach hybrid leveled up, becoming more powerful and taking on a more human-like appearance.
Meanwhile, Aryan managed to reach the building. Once inside, he was consumed by intense remorse. He remembered how Anupam had looked at him with eyes full of hope. Aryan started slapping himself in regret. Here, fear had triumphed over friendship.
Inside the building, two people named Riya and Ashish were already present. Riya possessed the power of water, while Ashish had the ability to transform into a werewolf. In fact, Ashish and Riya had been living in this building for nearly five years. Five years ago, Riya, Ashish, and six of their friends had gone for a picnic in the Himalayas. At 3:00 AM, a bizarre storm struck—it had neither wind nor snow, only absolute darkness. That darkness swallowed Riya, Ashish, and their six friends. Out of them, only Riya and Ashish survived; their six friends fell prey to the cockroach hybrids.
Actually, when they first arrived, their friends mistook it for a dream and recklessly walked out of the protective shield. However, Riya held Ashish back, saving his life. The moment the other six stepped out, they were wiped out. Riya then carried Ashish on her back and reached this building.
