Day 3.................
I can feel the heat from the fire as I add more firewood to keep the moist air out of our chamber in this cave. Yes! Chamber in a cave. Many large caves have complex systems of interconnected passages that act like tunnels, sometimes branching off into different chambers.
Nevertheless, the waves of warmth from the fire caressed my cheeks. I instantly rub my pregnant belly and tell my pups soon. They miss their father and so do I as hear them whimpering for him.
I watched as a glow from the fire reached across a sleeping Dela and Holly's faces. The flames cast an eerie glow on them.
I can hear the pounding rain outside our cave. I walked to the opening of the cave using the long, narrow passageway. Outside, the rain is pouring down hard. Watching
