Misa quickly purchased a radio and batteries. She said we might need it. I am so glad that she had the foresight to do so.
Meanwhile, I grabbed lots of food, snacks and drinks for us. I double-checked and again confirmed there were no cameras in the gas station. Plus, I grabbed a couple of magazines, a bag of pens, a bag of pencils and notepads.
We walked out of the gas station.
We walked the ten minutes down to the subway, trying not to draw attention to ourselves.
Consequently, it was obvious that the neighborhood was getting hot with police driving around looking for suspects. We quickly entered the subway station and purchased tickets. Thereafter, we rode the long escalator down to the subway tracks.
