The coven

King Jetta successfully escaped the Queen’s m******e and returned to his palace. He was certain the queen will stop at nothing to make sure he was dead. When he got go the palace, he made preparations for the prince to be escorted out of the kingdom before the queen arrived to finish him off. He didn’t want to run but face the queen even though he knew he stood no chance against her even without her magic as he was badly injured and got hardly stand on his feet.

“My son, remember the face of those that oppressed your father and avenge me. You must come back to take what is rightfully yours when the time is right.” The king said as he wishes his son farewell on what he knew was his last words to him. With tears in his eyes he drew little Prince Rudeen close to him and gives him a kiss on the forehead.

“I’ll never forget Father and I promise I will be back” Prince Rudeen said as he held his father’s hand tightly. Just then the palace horn blew which was a signal for an impending danger. The king quickly ordered Jetro to take him away with the soldiers assigned to escort him while others stayed behind to defend the kingdom. Jetro went through the rear exit and into the woods, they made it before the queen got in.

“How brave of you to still remain in this wretched kingdom. What were thinking, that you were free?” The queen said as she moved closer to where the king was lying.

The king coughs a few times before finally being able to speak up. “I do not care what you do to me afterwards and I know you were going to come after me. You are too late for my son and he will avenge me.”

The queen laughed so hard and snapped her finger, immediately , Jetro and Prince Rudeen and few of the surviving soldiers were brought in. “who did you say will avenge you again?” she laughs scornfully and turns to the very disappointed king who was already in tears.

" to see you in tears my dear friend, now you’re going to watch me end your legacy before putting you out of your misery.” She said as she brought her hands as if she was controlling an invincible remove , beast like long hands came out of her and pulled the Prince up. Just as she was about striking him with the other hands. The king shouted and pleaded that she spares his son. She gives off another thunderous laughter and seemed to be enjoying herself.

“Oh I think this is fun. Maybe I should let your avenger watch you die instead. And maybe he can avenge you from the belly of my best beasts or my mine fields where he will be working his a*s off” she said as she continues her laughter and immediately strikes the king on his lying bed and took away her son.

As she did all that, the prince didn’t fidget for a second or shed a tear. He was filled with resentment and vowed never to let her go free- of course right in his mind as he dare not make any open threats against the queen. Thus the queen conquered king Jetta and took over all he had including his kingdom and riches. She returned to the Haza kingdom with songs of victory as she threw a party in the kingdom to celebrate her new acquaintance.

Just then she threw the king’s son, Jetro and his soldiers in the dungeon before deciding what to do with them. Meanwhile , it was party time. There were strange looking people and strange creatures who attended the party. Many of which were ferocious like and scary. It was then the whole kingdom was convinced they were into what was beyond salvation and definitely doomed. While other creatures were having fun outside the palace and having their way with anyone they wanted, the top ranking creatures led by a bald headed man with cold and dry looking skin and cold-ice looking eyes which were almost invisible. His skin color was so different from others as he looked pale like be had no single blood in his system. He was the most powerful of them all as he was both a vampire and a sorcerer combined. He looked as if he would fall down and die any minute but he was also the strongest among them and have lived for 600 years of immortality. They moved into the secret chamber to discuss the most important and pressing matters arising in their coven.

The leader of the coven was known to wield the staff of honor, Skew. The skew possessed unimaginable powers and can eliminate any creature within a twinkle of an eye. Only the leader had the power to destroyed a member of the coven. Just recently one of the members of the coven was killed and there was no explanation to how it happened and who did it. Everyone suspected Zarr, the leader of the coven as he was the only one with such power but no one dared talk about it.

“It is no news that strange things are happening within us and it is necessary that we plan together to find the solution to this mystery before it’s too late. Zarr said as he looked at all of them one after the other.

Queen sheeba's greed and thirst for power was underestimated as she did not only want to conquer all the kingdoms but also the coven and establish herself as the supreme leader of all the realms. She has been planning to dethrone Zarr and the only way she could do that was if she had the skew. Just recently she found a way of killing a member of the coven which has never been done before by a fellow member or any other creature except the leader.

“Lord Zarr, you and everyone know that it is impossible for anyone to kill a member of the coven except you, the leader of the coven.” The queen stood boldly to make her claims against their leader.

Just then , everyone was surprised and shocked to see how bold the queen was to make such a claim against the almighty leader.

“Are you insinuating that I killed one of my members, what reason would I have to do such a thing.” Zarr replied looking rather angry and his eyes turned from white to red. He was do infuriated and would have caused a great deal of damage if not that there were increasing noises outside. The creatures have gone rogue and had started attacking the humans.

This was so strange as it never normally happened unless the balance of the universe was distorted.

"get away from them" he shouted as the creatures gradually returned to their senses. Their behavior was ad a result of a member of the cover going against the abiding rules and regulations which maintains other between the supernatural beings and the humans.

The queen knowing exactly what happened smiled and went back into the chamber. Everything was playing just as she had planned it. she was bringing enmity and distrust among the creatures so as to turn away the variety from his favor.

Zarr was a ferocious looking creature but he sure possessed the qualities of a true leader. Never acting on his anger or allow his subjects sway him into doing what he never wanted to do. He sure knew queen sheeba was upto some mischief but didn’t want to confront her in the presence of other creatures to avoid causing caos amongst themselves.
