Second chance

Joshua is afraid to approach Jenny and confess his feelings for her, even though she knows he does.

She was more to him than a coworker. She is referred to as his confidante and best friend.

In times of distress, he only talks to her. No matter what pain he was feeling, talking to her helped.

He adored him deeply. Even without saying it, she has shown him that countless times.

In her opinion, asking Joshua out was improper. She would rather not appear desperate and foolish.

Their relationship's closure and camaraderie have spread like wildfire throughout the office, making other employees envious.

They have never witnessed such chemistry. The other employees are certain they are dating.

However, the majority of the staff is speculating about a potential relationship between them.

Jenny and Joshua go to work together, go home together, and eat lunch together.

Making the other employees believe they were not in a relationship was the challenge.

More controversy surrounding their relationship erupted when he even celebrated her last birthday in the company.

She has been asked for a relationship on multiple occasions by men who are far superior to Joshua, but she turned them down while she waited for Joshua to act appropriately.

He had the chance to express his feelings while they were spending quality time together at Josh's house, but he kept failing at every attempt.

He kept trying to tell her, but he would simply stop or shift the subject.

It was clear that dating was what they wanted, but they had not talked about it.

Joshua avoided glancing at other girls because of his love for her.

Although he was not the wealthiest employee in the gold mine.

He was far superior to all the male employees in terms of appearance, demeanor, and, of course, good looks.

His charming dimples, captivating smiles, and adorable eyes were the talk of the other female employees.

One or two of them dared to ask Josh for a relationship, but Josh rejected them.

He always uses the pretense of being in a relationship with a mystery girl to get them to run away from him.

He always feels envious when he sees Jenny spending lunch with other employees.

Similarly, Joshua and Jenny find it awkward when they witness Joshua with another woman at work.

She would prefer to keep him to herself and would rather not tell anyone.

Jenny seduced Joshua one night after they both returned home intoxicated from a night of partying, almost leading to s*x.

She was in favor of having s*x. Regretfully, Joshua had other ideas.

He may have been intoxicated as well, but he was undoubtedly sane.

He was remorseful and did not want to exploit her vulnerability.

A relationship or s*x might cause him to lose his friendship with Jenny, which he feared would happen.

Even though he would rather not date her, he detested seeing her with other men. He cannot explain the feeling.

Josh remembered what had happened, but Jenny woke up the following morning and was unable to.

Because he is too cowardly to act morally, she is now marrying someone she does not love.

Unlike the last time, he seemed powerless because of the party involved, even though he usually gets upset when she hangs out with other guys.

With the knowledge that Alvin planned everything, fighting Fabiola for Jenny's love is akin to suicide.

Joshua would prefer to leave rather than continue to fight a battle that seems to be lost.

“Why is it taking so long for the security to arrive? They have been absent for twenty minutes.” Alvin erupted like a volcano when the security took so long to show up.

It made Alvin irate. His desire to get rid of Joshua is overwhelming.

“I am annoyed by your face, Joshua.

I must give them another call.

I would prefer not to make a foolish decision that I would live to regret," he growled.

Reaching for the landline, he called the company's security once more.

He screamed at them and grew more aggressive this time. “Why be so slow to arrive? Are you comfortable losing your job?"

"I will allow you five minutes. If you both do not show up, goodbye to your jobs." Over the phone, Alvin angrily said.

“Boss, there is no need for you to remind them.

I believed that your decision to dismiss me had changed.

Would you still like to do this? You do not need to.” Josh asked.

He hoped, somehow, for a miracle.

“Keep your expectations in check.

Did you think I was kidding when I told you that you had been fired?

Perhaps I should state myself again for clarity's sake.

Joshua, you are no longer welcome here and will never be allowed to come back,” he thought again about dismissing Joshua.

He had never called his full name before.

“Thank you for your patience, Boss. Here we are. We are waiting on your order right now.” Two hefty men in black uniforms showed up, waiting for orders.

“And you need to come now?

You took ages to arrive, and you know how much I dislike being kept waiting.” Alvin snapped.

“We apologize for the hold-up. I would prefer not to come alone.

I apologized; I was waiting for my partner to finish their bathroom before we arrived.” One of them said,

“I am not even finished speaking, and you have already apologized?

Why has everyone been acting strangely lately?”

“Not at all, boss.

Who would dare exploit you?

We can never do that, you know,” one of the guards hurriedly refuted.

“That is how it appears.

I asked you to come do something easy, and you chose to go to the washroom instead.

That demonstrates how inept you two are.

To find out what the emergency was about, you ought to have arrived right away.

What if I were the target of an assassination?

Maybe I would have died before you came here,” Alvin scolded them mercilessly.

“It will not occur again.” Together, they begged.

“Stop telling me this. Today, I have heard that a thousand times.

How much longer must I put up with your errors?

I will not think twice about getting you fired without compensation if this happens again." Alvin threatened the guards.

"What is the deal with my paycheck for this month, boss? It is almost the end of the month.

Remember that I was the recipient of the employee award last month.” Joshua cut them off when he asked for his monthly salary.

He's starting a fire when he hasn't put out the previous one.
