Veronica's POV.

After I got off the phone with Katie, I walked into the bathroom and grabbed my pills. I walked out and grabbed a cup filling it with water. After that I ran into my room and closed the door. I sighed and grabbed a razor blade then walked into my bathroom and started to fill my tub.

No matter what, I don't think I'll live through this. It's not like anyone is coming over. Sammie is with Justine's family and Mariah an her mother go out on Saturdays. I sighed and picked up my razor, sliding it across my wrists and arms. I watched the blood run down my arm and then picked up the pills. I put 3 in my mouth and swallowed, adding 3 more after. This continued until I hit 15.

By then, the water was filled up in my tub and I stepped in, feeling the pills start to take over. I ha already written notes to everyone I cared about. There was one to Sammie, my mom, Naomi, each of my friends- yes even Mariah. Sammie's mom. And of course, Katie.

I laid down in my tub and started to feel sleep overcome me. Goodbye everyone. Goodbye Katie.

Katie's POV.

I drove to Veronica's house and jumped out of my car. I ran up to the door and was surprised to find it unlocked. I opened the door an walked in.

"Veronica!" I called.

No answer.

"Veronica!" I yelled, walking towards her room. No answer.

I sighed and walked up the stairs, "Veronica, baby. It's not what you think. It's really not. Veronica?"

I noticed the bathroom door was closed and went to walk into it to scare her or something, but something in the corner caught my attention. I walked over to her dresser. There were notes on it so I picked up the one with my name on it.

'Katie,

I thought you loved me. I thought you were my everything and you were mine. I guess I was wrong though. Was I just a toy to you? Doesn't matter now anyways. Because after tonight, and after these notes are found, you will never see me again. I could go on longer but my hand is very sore. Just know that I lover you and I always will. Goodbye Katie.'

I dropped the note and ran into the bathroom. There she was. The girl of my dreams laying face down in the tub. I grabbed her and pulled her out. I threw her on the bed and ran back in her bathroom. Thank god for the track team. After grabbing the first aid kit, I ran back out.

"Please be okay, please be okay!" I said.

I started doing CPR but was getting nothing. 'Come on dammit!' I thought. Finally she responded and started to cough water up. I quickly wrapped her wrists as I called an ambulance.

They finally got there and I followed them there. I had to call veronica's mom. I knew that. But first, I had to make sure my baby was okay. Then I would call.

1 hour later......

I was sitting beside Veronica's bed when her mom walked in.

"What happened?!" Nicole asked.

"I don't know. I'm so sorry!" I said.

We were cut off by a moaning sound and both looked at Veronica. She had finally started to wake up.

"Oh god! Your awake! Are you okay? Do you need something? Water? A snack?" Nicole asked.

Veronica seen me and sighed, "A snack and some water would be awesome mom. Thanks."

Nicole walked out and Veronica looked at me, "What are you doing here?"

"Baby, you don't understand. That was my best friend. She always answered the phone like that! She has a girlfriend! And I'm hoping I still have mine."

"If what your saying is true, then why did you call her 'baby'?" She asked.

"That's my nickname for her. I've called her that since middle school! I promise you that I would never cheat on you! You are my everything! I love you!" At this point I was crying and begging her to understand.

"Oh god. I screwed up. I'm so sorry Katie! I'm sorry." Veronica cried.

"It's fine baby. I love you." I said, wrapping her in a hug.

"I love you to." She whispered.

I pulled back and wiped her tears away. That's when Nicole and Naomi walked in. Along with Veronica's friends. And I froze. We looked at each other and I stood up. Everyone had a knowing look on their faces but I knew that now that Mariah knows, we were in BIG trouble.
